In designing a logo for the Catholic Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), our goal was to create a visual identity that would authentically represent the values and traditions of the Catholic faith while capturing the spirit of the student community. The visual exploration incorporates meaningful symbols that reflect the chaplaincy's purpose and identity.

As it also is in the Christian life, the central element of the logo is the Eucharist, which holds great significance in the Catholic tradition. It represents the body and blood of Christ and serves as a powerful symbol of unity and spiritual nourishment. Surrounding the Eucharist is a beautifully crafted monstrance, which showcases the consecrated host during adoration and emphasizes the chaplaincy's devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. The design incorporates elements of light and radiance emanating from the monstrance, symbolizing the transformative power of faith.

The primary colours of the logo was a deliberate choice made to honour and incorporate the University of Toronto's official brand colours. By incorporating the school's colours into the logo design, we aimed to create a visual connection and sense of unity between the chaplaincy and the university community. This logo serves as a visual representation of the UTM Catholic Chaplaincy, reflecting their commitment to fostering spiritual growth, community, and the exploration of their faith within the dynamic university environment.
